CHARACTER NAME
Please add a concept line here, eight to twelve words.

GENERAL

FULL NAME: You may only apply for the names that appear on the roster. On a case-by-case basis, we may allow name changes. Please contact us before you do this and explain why you want to change the name and what you want it changed to.
NICKNAMES: Nicknames are great, but do not use them as a loophole to rename your character. We will ask you to remove a nickname that strays too far from the original name or is too close to another name on the cast list.
AGE/DOB: Seniors were likely born between 2001 and 2003.
YEAR: Soph/Junior/Senior
BLOOD STATUS: If your character is not marked as a Muggleborn or Pureblood, they are a halfblood. You can define the parents' blood status from there as you'd like.
GENDER/PRONOUNS: List your character's gender (male, female, nb, etc.) and their preferred pronouns here.
SEXUALITY: Saying they don't know is a valid answer.

HOMETOWN: Peckenpaugh is one of the USA's four Great Schools of Magic, so students may hail from anywhere in the United States & its territories. There may also be a few rare cases of Canadian, Mexican and Central American students. However, if they're coming from across the country, please provide an explanation in History for why they wound up here instead of Ilvermorny, Bottleby or Vercoer. It can be as simple as "wanted to get away from home" or "whoops, missed the deadline to apply for all other schools."

PHYSICAL

APPEARANCE:
THIS SECTION IS OPTIONAL. If there's anything that deviates from the PB's appearance or anything not obvious from the icons, you can list that here. You are encouraged to describe at least the character's style of dress, aesthetic and anything like tattoos or scars that might be significant.

HEIGHT: Can differ from PB.
BUILD: In just a few words.

PB: Please choose someone that looks age appropriate and has a wide range of facial expressions. We will not accept icon sets that are predominantly (50% or more) photoshoots or candids or PBs that are YouTubers/Instagram celebrities.

PERSONALITY

You've got two options for personality completion:
Option 1: Minimum four paragraphs addressing how the character behaves, thinks, presents themselves and what motivates them.
Option 2: Answer a minimum of five questions off of this list.

FUN FACTS:
(OPTIONAL) Use this space to list random factoids about your character. Are they left handed? Do they have any phobias? Are they obsessed with a certain food?

SKILLS

LANGUAGES: List language and fluency here. Everyone should be fluent in English. Please remember, languages are difficult to learn, and these are high schoolers. Languages known should make sense given the character's background and personality.
HOBBIES: Give us some verbs.
SKILLS:
Please list your character's notable skills and talents here in list format and provide a 1 - 3 sentence explanation for each. If they're an artist, what's their medium? A musician, what do they play? You may want to make note of particular athletic or academic talent here. While we do encourage you to play capable kids with a wide variety of interests and talents, not every student is going to be a master of every artistic medium or every musical instrument. If you ever want to add to this list after you are accepted, please contact the mods first to let us known.

HISTORY

FAMILY:

Please list the names and occupations of your character's parents, siblings, and other notable relatives, if applicable.

BACKGROUND:
Provide an outline of your character's history starting with birth and leading through to present day. Students are likely to have attended at least one school from K - 8 prior to Peckenpaugh. We are happy to read family histories (that is, histories of parents, grandparents, etc.), but please remember that your student is your focus. If your family's history is stretching on for more than a paragraph or two, consider editing it out and appending it as a comment at the bottom of the application.

We want players to be able to explore character concepts that interest them, but we ask that if you are looking to pursue sensitive subject matter you do proper research. Be mindful in the application and in play of how other players might be affected by sensitive character background content.

MISCELLANEOUS

WAND: Length, Wood, Core is fine. There are many wandmakers all across the United States, some reputable, others not. You can feel free to get creative with your wand.
FAMILIAR: Students may have one familiar. Any small indoor pet that does not require a large cage is acceptable. Owls, cats, rats & rodents, toads, small lizards, and small birds (corvids, parrots) are all common. We'll be pretty lenient with this, but please do research if you're choosing something exotic.
CAREER GOALS: What does your character want to be when they grow up? Do they have any post-high school goals? It's fine if they have no clue!

PART-TIME JOB: Check out the Elflock Falls page and claim a slot if you'd like one.
CLASSES: Please list your character's classes here (minimum 5, maximum 9) and briefly (1 - 3 sentences) elaborate upon their performance and interest in each class. Indicate that a student is taking on Honors work with an (H) next to the class or that they are a TA with (H, TA).

EXTRA-CURRICULARS: Please list your student's extracurriculars here, maximum 7 total. Be sure to indicate position if they're in a sport and instrument if they're in band. You can also elaborate on their involvement in clubs and extracurriculars if you'd like, but that's not required.

SORTING?: Briefly, describe how your character fits into their house and how their sorting went. Did they pick their house? Did they go with the sorting hall's suggestions? How long did it take?
